TAXA's Supply chain Code of Conduct

Key Elements:

Training and Capability Building

TAXA corporate will be holding several annual and bi-annual training sessions and interactive activities with our global vendors and supply chain partners to educate them about the recent pressing matters.

Our internal training and awareness programs include:

  • Monthly newsletters
  • Semi-annual sustainability training
  • Semi-annual training on supplier report card penalties and credits
  • Annual environmental impact training
  • Annual conflict minerals training
  • Annual employee communications on ethical, anti-bribery, and anti-corruption expectations

The majority of vendors and partners of TAXA are national and international entities with their social responsibility protocols, but that does not reduce our endeavors to train them regards capability attainment via communicating shared objectives.

  • We do, however, provide:
  • Ad-hoc education, as necessary

Semi-annual communications on the RBA, environmental impact, conflict minerals, and Supplier Code of Conduct expectations.

Diverse Supplier base

TAXA is committed to promoting a diverse ecosystem by providing equal opportunity for all supply chain activities and building a diversified supply chain portfolio. We aspire to unearth the maximum opportunities for a diverse supply base to build a sustainable and mutually advantageous relationship with all.
We try our corporate best to include all minorities, veterans, women, disabled, and LGBTQ – owned businesses and underutilized small businesses within our supply procurement range.

Tracking Environmental conducts

The QA executives at TAXA expect quarterly environmental impact reports from all their vendors, including water usage, carbon emissions, and Green House Gas emissions to keep track of what progress is being made to reduce the carbon footprint. We expect to have detailed information regarding how they propose to cut down radiational waste, undegradable waste, extended water usage, and plans to adopt renewable energy means and evidence of implementation of such measures from our supply chain partners.

Environmental Risk Management

We at TAXA believe in striving for the best but preparing for the worst. Our risk management team carefully analyzes all procurement routes and sources to assess all potential environmental harms that could take place. We can look into environment friendlier alternative resources that will help our planet rejuvenate from its current degrading conditions with ample knowledge.

Conflict Minerals

TAXA is well aware of the political and economic importance minerals usage has. Apart from the fact that over-sourcing minerals without any sustainability policies could spell outage on the global level, minerals are also the source of major conflict in some places. Tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold, or corporately known as 3TG, are sourced from major conflict-affiliated regions such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo(DRC). The 3TG’s are referred to as conflict materials as possessing these minerals is the reason for conflict in many nations.

Recently many companies have begun to boycott minerals originating from such conflict-plagued regions, but here at TAXA do not think this is the answer. Stopping export relations with any nation already consumed by war and conflict can only spell in further demise for that region. Minerals like the 3TGs are greatly consumed by industries worldwide, making them one of the biggest exports for any nation. So, if you terminate that business route, that leaves the nation in deeper dept and worse conditions than it already is.

TAXA believes the correct answer to this conundrum is implementing responsible sourcing practices and policies in all industries to create a path for a sustainable future for the industries while helping reduce conflict in nations. With a steady and periodic expo schedule in place, the violent dictators and malicious groups that use violent ways to obtain such minerals and export them have no choice but to stop operations. Responsible sourcing can stabilize the inflated market, reducing the operations rates of violent exporters that ultimately help elevate the pain of an aching nation.
